In a word: elegant. A joy to cast and the most accurate rod I’ve used with a dry fly. Roll casts like a dream. I chose to pair with SA creek trout 4wt line. Slower action but has a good backbone and, despite the world seeming to move toward faster action rods, a rod like this deserves a look regardless of the action you prefer. Something about a well-done slower action rod is just more dreamy and old world, I guess. Excels with a dry fly but also great on daisy chained wets. Use an Avantt II 5 wt if you want to splash streamers for trout. This is my third T&T. They treat you like a client and pick up the phone whenever you call to talk rods and fishing, which means something nowadays..

I'm old enough to know the difference! This rod is just spectacular. A pleasure to fish with and a delight to own. Medium fast, accurate and light.

As with all tools I buy, I try to buy the best I can afford at the time. This rod feels amazing and the fit and finish is superb.

Bought this on my NZ guide’s recommendation. Could not be more pleased. Well worth the hype.
