We are excited to announce there's a new face at Thomas & Thomas headquarters in Greenfield, MA. John Wolstenholme has joined the company in the unique position of Vice President of Business Development.
A native of South Africa, John holds more than 20 years of international experience in fly fishing sales and marketing, branding and product development. He cut his teeth at the famed Farlows Group, as the first manager of their Sportfish shop at 13 Pall Mall in London. From there, he became the group fishing buyer at the company’s Wales headquarters. John then moved to Hardy and Grey’s Ltd. as Brand Marketing Manager. In addition to helping oversee product development and design, he was instrumental in the launch and growth of the brands in the United States and Europe. John then joined Fulling Mill as Sales and Marketing Director in the U.K. and likewise brought the brand to the American market.“We are excited to welcome John to the team. He’s a very knowledgeable and driven individual, plus, he holds a relationship with T&T dating back to his time at Farlows. His rich history in the Fly Fishing Industry, combined with a passion for excellence, will allow John to help us grow the company in all the right ways,” said Neville Orsmond, owner of T&T.

In addition to John's vast industry knowledge and experience he also brings his passion for angling and photography. Two activities that inherently go hand in hand. Starting out as a commercial advertising photographer with a diverse client list, it was inevitable that John found his way towards fly fishing product and lifestyle imagery. If you've ever seen black and white images of the Thomas & Thomas team, specifically Tom Dorsey , then you've seen John's work. His photography along with his positions in the industry has allowed him to pursue some of his bucket list fishing destinations including fishing the blue waters of the Indian Ocean and searching for salmon in Russia. Adventures like this go a long way in giving him angling street credibility. John's appointment to Thomas & Thomas has the entire team excited as we look forward in taking Thomas & Thomas to the next level.
